Starting in 1982 with only 3,139 registered runners, the Grand Prix of Bern has since grown to become one of Switzerland's most important running events, now attracting over 30,000 participants. Combining both competitive and popular sports, the event offers runners a chance to focus on achieving their best times as well as simply enjoying the fun of running.
With its scenic route through the old town, along the Aare, and through the Dählhözli forest, and with an impressive backdrop of spectators, the Grand Prix of Bern promises an exhilarating and diverse running experience for all participants.
Participants can choose between the 10-mile original course (16.093 km), the Old Town GP (4.7 km) or the Old Town Walk (4.7 km).
For the little ones, the Bear GP (1.6 km) is just right.
